Life . The holiday rush . The change in weather . The good moods , the sour ones . The traffic . The photo shoots . The joy of giving . The familiar smells and ways of tradition . The loss and absence of a cherished one.. the mourning of life taken , yet celebrating the life given . The caroling of kids less fortunate . The glisten and bliss of snow covered backyards . The baking , the sipping , the wrapping , the preparing .
Goodness . The pace of life has been to a quicker step this month of December . Extreme joyful highs , extreme soul wrenching sorrows . My heart , mind , and feet have been on the go go go . I enjoy it , I’m thankful . But I feel like I haven’t stopped long enough to realize what day it is or that its my favorite season .
So right now , I’m stopping . Embracing December . Embracing life as it is . Embracing His goodness to me .
